Projektziel: Der Erlös kommt Kindern in Laos zu gute, die damit mehrere tausend neue Bücher in Lokalsprache erhalten werden.
Am 03. September 2011: AMT FÜR AUFBAU is featuring Beers for Books hier in Zürich. – Jede Konsumation (Getränk oder Essen) finanziert durch den Beitrag von 1.- CHF ein Kinderbuch für Kinder in Laos. Mit dem Erlös werden mehrere tausend neue Bücher in Lokalsprache gedruckt.
Beers for Books ist ein global erprobtes Spenderkonzept, das in Japan entwickelt wurde, um die non-profit Organisation Room to Read zu unterstützen. Bei Beers for Books wird von jedem konsumierten Getränk 1.- CHF an Room to Read gespendet.
Room to Read’s Vision ist eine Welt, in der alle Kinder eine hochwertige Bildung erhalten, die sie befähigt ihr volles Potential zu entwickeln und so einen Beitrag zur Entwicklung ihres Landes und der Welt leisten zu können.
Mit dem von Beers for Books gespendeten Geld publiziert Room to Read Kinderbücher in acht Ländern in Asien und Afrika. Seit der Gründung von Beers for Books vor drei Jahren konnte Beers for Books über 110.000 Room to Read Bücher spenden.

Beer For a Good Cause!
First Beers for Books party in Zurich for children and their parents.
Beers for Books is a great and really simple idea to raise money for childhood literacy in developing countries. The idea of Beers for Books was born in Tokyo, Japan and found its way via Australia and the USA to Switzerland. At a Beers for Books party, Beer-drinkers (and other fun people) are having a blast with the idea of drinking a beer or soft drink, while creating books for kids who have limited access to educational resources. Since February 2009 Beers for Books funded over 110,000 books for kids just by hanging out and having a good time. It’s an easy way to do good and learn about the amazing work of Room to Read with fun people.
On September 3 from 3pm – midnight, the Zurich Beers for Books party will take place at Minimum Boulder Club on Bachstrasse 15 in Zurich- Wollishofen. In the afternoon, games and boxes full of children books will ensure a lot of fun for the little ones; a DJ and lots of tasty food will guarantee a great party for grown-ups in the evening. The event will take place regardless of the weather.
All funds raised will be donated to the Room to Read Local Language Publishing program in Laos. Link: Room to Read Local Language Publishing program
The Beers for Books party in Zurich is organized by AMT FÜR AUFBAU, a Zurich based association that raises funds for charity projects inside and outside of Switzerland.
